It doesn't really matter here, since Article III, Section 3, of the Constitution provides:

Here there are no witnesses to any overt acts, just a guy with a bunch of handwritten documents that he says are accurate copies.
Handwritten notes from a dead man, a former KGB agent, supposedly reflecting the contents of old KGB files.

Looks like Teddy escapes justice once again . . .

But screw that! Waterboard the fat bastard and he'll confess "in Open Court."

Nice that the Dems are playing the homophobic card again by outing people.
Nope. But it _might_ depress or disillusion more evangelicals.

P.S. We only out the hypocrites.

P.P.S. You think the gay escort making the allegations was a Dem operative? Entrapment? Good 3 year gig?

No, I get it, the MSM should never have reported on the allegations, because its not news.

Question re: Iraq

I'm reading about the discovery of 56 bodies in Iraq, all showing signs of torture, probably victims of a sectarian death squad. These stories have become so commonplace it's easy to gloss over them.

And I'm wondering: What proportion of Iraqis are involved in militias, death squads, private armies, terror cells, and the other sorts of networks that carry out these crimes? What proportion of Iraqis actively support them? What proportion of Iraqis passively support them? (i.e., maybe don't provide money or weapons or shelter, but also don't report what they could to police or military). What proportion sympathize? (i.e., are happy when these things happen, view the Mahdi army as fighting for them, prefer the Mahdis to the US).

I assume that no one believes that it's all "foreign fighters" causing havoc in Iraq. My question is, how much of the population is it?

Sounds fishy to me. We need primary sources. Ty would agree with me since Teddy is a Democrat. But if he were a Republican we would just have to assume the notes were true.

?!?!?!?

Can you post this? Not the link because I am not signing up for the atrocious paper. Please, please, please.....
Link

It purports to be a Bush hit piece, but a close read reveals this lovely tidbit:

Quote:
Among the dozens of documents in English were Iraqi reports written in the 1990s and in 2002 for United Nations inspectors in charge of making sure Iraq had abandoned its unconventional arms programs after the Persian Gulf war.

Experts say that at the time, Mr. Hussein’s scientists were on the verge of building an atom bomb, as little as a year away.
European diplomats said this week that some of those nuclear documents on the Web site were identical to the ones presented to the United Nations Security Council in late 2002, as America got ready to invade Iraq.
But unlike those on the Web site, the papers given to the Security Council had been extensively edited, to remove sensitive information on unconventional arms.
So Saddam was a year away from nukes, but Bush was wrong to take him out. Got it.

Let me guess -- Hillary took down that plane with a shoulder-fired Stinger missile.

Do we know she wasn't in the former Yugoslavia that day?

I don't write for Dead Prez. Thurgreed finds it odd I even listen to them.

I like how Slave assumed both that a gay guy outing someone must be a Democrat, and that it was done to persuade homophobes to vote Democratic. Sure, that follows.

If there's a document somewhere that says Saddam was as little as a year away from having nukes in the early 1990s, then clearly Iraq had had nukes for several years when we invaded. We were just lucky that they traded them to North Korea for the fuel oil Clinton gave Kim Jong Il.

You forget that, in Slave-land, Saddam moved his WMD to Syria rather than use them against the invading US or Israel.

Leaving aside Ty's point, which you somehow missed -- I can only imagine how you would respond if Clinton had posted a how-to guide to building a nuclear bomb -- in Arabic! - on the Internet.

In their hopes of belatedly finding some evidence to support Bush's rationale for war, the Admin and the Congressional right wing published that guide to the world. Lovely.
