I think the veiled reference to a job change with more flexible hours may be just that. Also, Jon recently accepted a free hair transplant under the theory that his receding hairline is the fault of his "stressful" family -- by which I assume he means his shrew of a wife.

When do the B/G cut more than a slice? I can't remember ever seeing them cut the whole thing . . . it's always sliced by some professional with as deft a touch as Zorro and a bunch of plate handlers. Dragging a cake from the kitchen would take as long as these folks do to get it out (where it sits on the table while people get jiggy wit' or with it.

My sister's wedding had 1500+ attendees so they pre-sliced a whole bunch of cake in advance.

In 8 years, when it's in syndication, I'm sure I'll tune in and think I've discovered some new gem of a tv show.

It is. And fascinating all at the same time. I've stumbled on it while channel surfing, and have watched a few episodes. Probably the most fun is watching efforts for the parents to get away without the kids. Because the parents don't want to drop off eight kids with one volunteer (or they can't find anyone crazy enough to host all eight kids at once), the parents drive all over tarnation, dropping off kids. The editing is such that you'll watch for 10 minutes - "we dropped off [x] and [y] at [z]'s house, [a] and [b] at [c']s house," and then realize that they still have four kids to go.
