Poor OJ. From airport slave to Naked Gun victim to excused murderer to convict. He's just so misunderstood.

I loved Being There, and had forgotten about it, thanks.

But it isn't a comedy, and if you put it on, becasue it has funny parts, then Diner, the best movie overall of all time, is also a comedy, so it will be Best comedy.

I saw an obscure but pretty funny 60s movie call The Party, with Peter Sellers. pretty funny, but maybe a little dated. But if you see it on cable worth a watch (of course Seller's indian accent it a bit incorrect for today).

Don't normally like Chase but he was great in that one. The hell with movies....there should be a list of 25 funniest SCENES from a movie. This one would be my number one hands down (or off). (Fast forward to about 2:45 as the early part isn't funny). The rib scene is good too. The rest of the list would be heavy with Woody Allen and Monty Python scenes.

Don't be alarmed! Most likely, it is my 6-year-old son who has taken to sitting at my computer if I'm not there and starting up chats.

He ran downstairs today when I got home and said, "Mama! Good news! I'm finally talking to someone on your computer!" I said, "Oh? Who is that?" (It was sebby.)

His older brother said, "But you don't even know him!", which protest was met with "I DON'T CARE!!!"

I then explained (by IM) to Sebby what had happened (i.e., that it was my 6-y-o), and my 6-y-o was furious!

So, if you're ever in doubt, and are wondering if it's truly me, I'll have to utter the password, which will be... um... PINTO.

Maybe a second viewing when it's still 1985 and you're still on dope and in high school, but today, in 2009? You couldn't pay me to watch it. I'll quote it from memory, but I'll never want to watch it again. So it's in the same category as Clerks -- quotable doesn't equal funniest.

A good test is, would I pay $30 to get it on Blu-Ray? Many things on people's list, the answer is yes, but not Elf, not Clerks, not Better Off Dead.
clerks can't be on Blu-Ray can it? it was shot on toilet paper.

I have Clerks and the rest of the View Askew titles on DVD, and have watched them more than once. Again, though, maybe it is a juvenile thing.

But I agree that Elf is not worthy of more than one watching (if it even merits one).

And Roxanne is a great movie, but it's more of a romantic comedy, a genre which I don't think made many lists.

TM
Spies Like Us is Chevy and Akroyd at their best.

This is why I could not make a list.

I think about as much planning went into that bust as the one where he tried to get back his stuff.

We have found common ground. I love I'm Gonna Get You Sucka (not top 25, but still high enough to almost put on my list).

"So, it's just you 57 cops against Kung Fu Joe? Master of Kung-Fu! Karate! Jiu- Jitsu! And all kinds of other shit you ain't never heard of!"
______
Willie: I heard you screamin' from all the way over there, and...
Leonard: I wasn't screamin', all right?
Willie: But I heard you...
Leonard: I wasn't screamin'! I was whistling!
Willie: You was whistling "Willie, help get this bitch off of me"?
Leonard: Yeah!
_______
John Slade: What these fancy medals for?
Jack Spade: Well, this one is, uh, shorthand. And, uh, this one over here is M.V.P. And, uh, this is surfing.
_______
John Slade: Sam, hold it man, you told me you served in Nam!
One Eyed Sam: I did, Saigon.
Jack Spade: Well, how'd you lose your eye?
One Eyed Sam: Fu**in' 'round the office. We were shooting paper clips at each other, and one of the damn fools hit me in the eye!

(I can't find the follow-up quote for when Slade and One Eyed Sam are comparing medals. But I know One Eyed Sam says something like, "This medal here is for typing..." And Spade cuts him off and says, "I got that one too! Right here! Right here!"

And finally, the scene when they're in the big shoot-out near the end and Spade gets a splinter and screams like his intestines are falling out when he removes it, gets me every time.

WTTW, "hot" theoretical physicists are probably looking for men who aren't stymied by the occasional contrafactual.

I recently saw a an add for all of the Bond films on blu-ray, so I don't underestimate hollywood's interest in making a buck off of the suckers.
