Nevermind about all this MUSIC stuff... MOVIES, baby!

This has been rather a long winter, and it seems as though it's just getting longer. (I suppose the definitive answer to whether it is or not will be determined next week -- and a most especially Happy Birthday to anyone whose birthday happens to fall on Groundhog Day.)
Which is a lovely segway-way into my query. I need to buy some movies that are good, but that are appropriate for kids and their parents. You know, crowd pleasers. So far, my list is woefully short, as it includes only Groundhog Day and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

As flower pointed out, we should try not to fight less, but if we need to fight why have the day stop us, or more accurately, why let Friday generate a fight? So in theory I'm against the practice.

But what i realize happens in practice, is that when some hare-brained sock does a "Happy Friday" post, then I want to attack them, which in a very circular way, makes me part of the problem.

 | If the kids are in their teens Diner and Annie Hall. I love Diner, and just watched it with my son last week, and he laughed out loud at parts.

We need more details. What age? My kids are quite fond of Mønti Pythøn ik den Høli Gräilen and the Princess Bride, but I wouldn't recommend either for the under-6 crowd.

Warning: you will hear "Burn Her! Burn Her!" or "You have a gift for rhyme" over and over again after they see these. |

I just think it is stupid to go on an internet chat board and complain about a band not being rock and roll enough if that is not their thing. Would changing the delivery of the vocals change your opinion of the band? No.

The delivery on that blasted Icky Thump song makes me want to find Jack White and rip his eyelashes out one by one, but I'm not sure that I would like the song even if he belted it out a la Neil Diamond. It really just isn't my thing.
