The initial opt-out was (see an earlier post for a link); the claim form was much more recent (last year?), but I don't think it went to anyone who ignored the opt-out, because the opt-out seemed to include an initial statement of claim, too.

I am fairly certain I did nothing about the opt out (which I don't remember) and still got the claim form. Which makes sense given that it is an opt out not an opt in.

I'm still bitterly unsatisfied with my non-settlement from Barbri.

My diamond dealer is packing. Multiple weapons. I am not fucking around with him on any class action nonsense. He's killed men for lesser misdeeds.

Mortgages

So, if I have good credit, what % do I need to put down to get a good rate for a home?

FWIW, let's assume 20% is a stretch. Let's also assume that I'm looking above the $417,000* conforming loan rate. Do banks even let people piggyback anymore?

*ridiculous for many parts of Chicago and its burbs. Flyover land gets no love.

Laphroiag is a gateway drug.

Laphroiag in an upscale bar in the Theater District leads to PBRs and tequila in Hell's Kitchen. I feel like the carpet in my hotel room. Goddamn it, Shifter.

Nothing like Laphroig. I have a recipe for hot chocolate that depends on Laphroig's smokey charm (Melt a couple squares of baker's chocolate and add a shot of cream, a shot of espresso and sufficient sugar to thicken the whole thing to a sort of molten fudge; just before serving stir in a shot of laphroig). It is the ideal antidote to a laphroig and tequila hangover.

What the PBR is doing in there I don't know.

Seems like a waste of good scotch to me.

I wasn't aware that there was a limited supply.

At least you don't feel like Vadim's fine, multicultural salmon colored couch.

If you have good credit there is money to be had at less than 20% down and with piggybacking. At least in my market.

I sure hope there isn't.....I am partying, kilt, no underware, with the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society at their Annual Single Malt & Scotch Whisky Extravaganza next month. I am looking forward to a bottomless glass.

There is a limit on my supply of dollars to be spent on scotch.
