An inequity as serious as the pay gap? WTF?

The economy isn't bad enough? There aren't enough layoffs and cutbacks? Two wars overseas with little hope of resolution isn't enough? Now I'm supposed to care about whether college-aged women are having orgasms when they hook up with someone? I need to worry about performance metrics for fratboys on the prowl now, else my pro-sex, pro-women cred is as flaccid as these douchebags after a 5-minute sessie in the sac? Really? When the metrics for my 401(k) are on the milimeter scale?
If you're a college-aged woman, and you're not getting enough orgasms, here's my four-step plan to happiness.
Step One: Buy a vibrator. Hitachi Magic Wand, Rabbit, Pocket Rocket, pick one. Heck, skimp on the next pair of shoes, buy all three, and call it a weekend.
Step Two: Use the vibrator. Liberally. Use it so often that you have to factor batteries in your monthly budget.
Step Three: Ignore late-night booty-call text messages and Facebook message hook-up pleas from insipid, clitorally-clueless males. Repeat Step Two as needed.
Step Four: Ignore any survey requests from Sociology professors who don't have anything better to do. Repeat Step Two as needed.

That's only the 50% who are still married.

2. I am a big fan of the Babeland. If those college girls go to its website, in addition to your suggestions, check out the We-Vibe, and the instructional video clip. My personal shopper is the instructor......

I gotta say that after watching ARod, Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, Palmeiro, etc. get raked over the coals for steroid abuse and listening to manager after manager lament steroid use in baseball and owner after owner whine about the integrity of the game (most recently Tom Hicks, who feels abused because ARod lied to him about taking steroids), as well as suffering through the sanctimonious pieces authored by the many sports writers who all have an opinion, I gotta say I'm pretty thoroughly disgusted.
The players are being punished and that's cool with me. They're fucking cheaters. But what about the managers? Are you telling me Torre knew nothing about steroid use? He watched as players went from one body type to another and purposefully turned away because he was getting the production he wanted. He and all the other managers are complete fucking hypocrites. Torre was okay with allowing an exception to a team rule so Giambi could have his personal trainer with him in the clubhouse? And then he says he didn't know anything about steroids in baseball. "Sure you hear things, but I never suspected anyone" (or some such bullshit). He is so full of shit.
And Hicks. "This whole episode caught me totally by surprise," Hicks said. "I feel personally betrayed and deceived by Alex. As I said before, I'm shocked." Fuck. You. Your team was riddled with steroid cheats. You had no idea? You just said basically the same thing about Juan Gonzalez. "I have no knowledge that Juan used steroids. His number of injuries and early retirement just makes me suspicious. In any event, we paid him $24 million for very few games." Palmeiro was on the juice. I bet 70% of your players were juicing. And you had no idea? You're either a huge liar or an incompetent asshole. Or a huge, lying, incompetent asshole.
As for the press, are you serious? You all loved the home run derby season that brought baseball back from the strike. You fueled it. You saw the builds on these guys. You watched their 'roid rages. You willfully ignored all of the statistical evidence. No one has come close to touching 61 home runs in a season until 3 guys do it with ease within, what, 2 years? Each of them look like hulking mutants. You're selling papers with your venom over the betrayal, but you are as much to blame as anyone else.
The whole thing makes me sick. The players should get blamed for being greedy assholes. But what about everyone else who benefited? Why do all these other jackasses get a pass while sitting in judgment?

Plus, you wouldn't have these problems if you were a 33-year old woman having sex with a 20-year old man AND a 20-year old woman. Then your partners would (collectively) be older than you. But you always seem to resist the obvious path to your happiness, don't you Gwinky?
(Of course, I apologize profusely if Gwinky is younger than A-Rod. I think she should have to apologize to her boyfriend's mom if he's younger than 20.)

I have no idea what you are talking about. Really. When did I say I was younger than A-Rod? And when I'm 50, my boyfriend (knock on wood) is going to be 36, which is only 3 years older than 33. Why is that not a wonderful, beautiful thing? I'm not sure what you are getting at. At all.

I think you should just read it all to say "Madonna is a skank" and be done with it.

I agree, but I thought that Selig and the owners have been blamed for letting it get to the point they did. They failed to do anything in the face of a strong union, who was forced by Congress essentially, not MLB, to have the one year of anonymous testing, ostensibly to show that steroids weren't a problem. Kind of blew up in everyone's face, so now there's something of a program. The fact that the owners let it get to that point is inexcusable, and of course they were profiting, since the whole post-strike strategy was to gin up offense to draw the fans, who apparently prefer cartoon-like home runs to well-pitched, tight baseball games.

Agreed on all points. It just makes me sick that everyone in baseball knew what was going on and was okay with it. But now, everyone who is not a player is shocked, dismayed, hurt, betrayed and angry because of these awful players. Hicks' statement yesterday was my tipping point. It's the ovewhelming hypocrisy that is pissing me off. (That and the SI writer who said the Yankees should cut ARod and eat the loss. What a load of crap.)

Congress should apply the $500k cap on compensation to Bud Selig. He's even less deserving of his $17m/year that most bankers.

Yeah, if they were going to cut him (not that they are or should), they would have to go to court to ensure that they don't have to pay him, either.

Apparently when you are 54, it's only 50% likely you'll be able to say "know on wood" still.
