They say this like it is a bad thing. Hounding after dinner-party kudos is my primary life motivation.

For me, the table scraps come unsolicited.

Who breaks things down on a week-by-week basis, anyway? By pay period, sure, but monthly even makes more sense, as most regular expenses are monthly, not weekly.

Pay period? Pay period? Stick to commenting on the proles; you're clearly out of your league here. Right, Hank?

Different board, but per year ... for a dollar.

I am curious about it, but a little worried that it's going to be too feel-good.

Have you read the books? Of course it's going to be too feel good -- and if they follow the books closely, it's going to be a love song to Botswana as well. That's what makes the books so endearing.

Gotta liven the place up
Deader than usual on Monday, probably because the guys lost all NCAA Tourney bragging rights to DTB.
So, on to current events.....
Madonna, apparently concerned about how far she's falling behind Angelina (not to mention the Octomom), is off trying to adopt another child accessory. Is this a good thing or would it be better to fund an orphanage or even fund adoptions for people who can't afford an international adoption?

Should Manson family members ever get out of jail? And do their sentences compare to those for more recent murders or have we gotten jaded? http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/03/30/...ing/index.html
In local news, my aunt & uncle in Moorhead (on the Minnesota side of Fargo) have 5 sump pumps going in their basement and my cousin and his wife outside Fargo have to canoe up to their house (but it is apparently not flooded).
