I'm not disputing that there may be relaxation associated with acupuncture. But is that seriously why practitioners say that it is effective? Because it is "relaxing"? Because if a "sedation effect" is all that is needed to cure your ills, I'm afraid we're playing right back into the hands of Big Pharma and Cultural Imperialism.
