And, as I think I noted last year, the Official Not Bob Summer Drink is the made from scratch Tom Collins. The freshly squeezed juice of one lemon, simple syrup** to taste (1 or 2 tablespoons), a shot or so of gin (I use Not Sapphire*** Bombay, but any decent gin will do), ice (4 cubes from the prole ice tray I use), and club soda/seltzer to taste.

Mrs. Not Bob prefers vodka to gin; I have heard this called a John Collins, but some say that a John Collins is made with bourbon.**** Maybe a Joan Collins? Anyway, she also likes a little Saint Germaine in it, too.

*I am actually Not Kidding about this, by the way. I actually use some of his lines (calling the chick music I like either "Acoustic Estrogen" or "Lesbian Grrl" with attribution to "this guy I know") frequently.

**So easy to make. Boil equal parts sugar and water until clear, the put in fridge -- you will use it all before it goes bad (if it ever does). I keep mine in a Good Seasons salad carafe because that's how I roll.

*** I use the Sapphire for martinis. Doesn't taste quite right in a Tom Collins.

I think either bragging that your music is "Acoustic Estrogen" is fine, or drinking a drink with sugar in it is fine. Doing both is redundant.

**** I might call this a variation on a whiskey sour, and a quick google search confirms that Esquire's cocktail dude agrees -- the addition of club soda (and other fruit) to a whisky sour was apparently called a "Hari Kari" at some Not PC point, when people like my dad used words like "Nips" and Japs" to refer to citizens of The Land of the Rising Son. In his defense, he spent 3 impressionable years trying not to be killed by citizens of said land.

no. No sugar in tea, or coffee, but surely not in any alcohol drink (exception: you can mix juice with some alcohol drinks)

Ever look at the Nutrition Facts label on your bottle/can of Canada Dry tonic water ("with quinine" so that you can have a few and protect yourself from malaria while putting down the Sepoy Mutiny this summer).

Never mind -- I will look for you. The bottle I have handy says my Canada Dry tonic has 29 grams of sugar (it's a 10 oz bottle). For comparison, look at a can of Coca Cola Classic. 39 grams for a 12 oz can. Thus, a G&T has about as much sugar as a Cuba Libre, NTTAWWT.
