I can't let the dog thing go, apparently.

I understand your secretary's desire not to stand by and let a dog die. I do not understand how that translates into a campaign to forbid people from running with their dog.

One of the things that befuddles me about our society right now is people's absolute belief that they know how others should live their lives, and the willingness to impose those beliefs on others.

So your theory is that people realize that they are seriously endangering their dogs and are willfully choosing to expose them to a risk of death and therefor it's rude to tell them about it?

I didn't see RT say anything about "impose," but I'd be willing to bet that the people her secretary is targeting haven't given much thought to the danger to their beloved pet.

Most probably enjoy proper grammar and a will-timed cockalanche.

I didn't see RT say anything about "impose," but I'd be willing to bet that the people her secretary is targeting haven't given much thought to the danger to their beloved pet.
RT said "My secretary has taken it upon herself to start a campaign to stop people from running their pets after watching two dogs pass out from heat stroke on a popular running trail in a one week period in September. One of the passed out dogs, a bulldog, ended up needing CPR."

If RT's secretary "targeted" me and told me to "stop running [my] pets", I'd take that poorly.

I'm not sure why RT's secretary believes she has my pets best interest at heart and that I do not. That seems like an imposition.

I hear more bullshit about the breed of dog I own from well-meaning people at the dog park. I assure you, I know more about my dogs than RT's secretary does.

Does that mean all the married ladies gotta start having nookie on the side while gulping wine, smoking weed and doing blow?

Because I'm okay with that.

Gee, I don't know, maybe there are people in the world who are not all-knowing and could maybe use a reminder that, "hey, it's hot out and your dog can't sweat."

Not you, obviously, because you know everything without anyone ever having mentioned it to you, so people seeking to help only make you angry.

Re: Towards A Virtual Williamsburg!

Remember before most of us had met each other and we talked mostly about sex and stuff on this board?

Well, in that vein, I would welcome advice from people here who I suspect have more knowledge of sex toys than I do. I kept bugging my baby brother to tell me what he wants for his upcoming birthday. Finally, he suggested a fleshlight. I'm pretty sure he only asked for one because he assumed I was too prudish to either know what it was or to buy it for him. He clearly doesn't know me as well as he thinks he does.

So, I don't know anything about these products, and I'm not going to google at work, so if anybody has any suggestions for me to keep in mind when I go shopping online tonight, please feel free to share. He did ask me if I could buy him an Asian model, and I have no idea what that means so I'm going to pretend it was a joke.

Believe it or not (and I suspect none of you will but it's the truth), I don't have any personal experience with these products, but after encountering them as a sponsor of stuff (podcasts), I have actually looked at their webpage.

You won't have any troubling figuring it out if you go to fleshlight.com.

ETA: You should not do so from work. Hopefully that was obvious.

And yes, there are "Asian" models.
