You are not a real 'mercan if you don't have pin-ups of gun designers on your wall. The man is a legend among legends.
And, he's timely - without his design, I'm not sure we'd have had the third world assault weapon arms race of the 70s and 80s that first put enough assulat weapons on the street to popularize mass murder. Until then, Russian guns were heavy and awkward.
