Bowie had a heart attack in Europe almost a decade ago, and has had some cardio issues since (angiopasty, I think). In recent press releases he's waffled on whether he'll do a limited tour because of these health issues.

I doubt there's any new acute health issues, as Gawker just shot photos of him shopping for groceries a couple weeks ago in NYC. He's skinny and looks old. But he's always been skinny. And he's old.

(I also don't want to live in a world without David Bowie.* The idea of his passing deeply distresses me.)

There is absolutely no correlation between a bad heart and appearance. I've had three heart attacks, countless episodes of unstable angina, and other miscellaneous shit, and I hear from people all time about how great I look.

I also manage to get to the store every few days for groceries. There's a long walk between there and going on tour.
