Fuck Club was a lot like Fight Club. Keep your mouth shut = Protect the supply chain. Brag = She gets a bad rep = You're fucking your hand again.
Ah, for the old, romantic days passed.

My favorite part of the day is explaining to people that the reason they’re not allowed to do that cool/fun/important thing is that the guy they campaigned for to get into the Assembly or Senate introduced a law to prevent everyone from doing that cool/fun/important thing. It’s one of the advantages of living in a place completely dominated by one party — fewer people can frown and say, “Well, I never voted for that.” Yes, you did. You totally fucking did.

Did young Vosburg assume the risk when he sat down in that Waukesha classroom? Of course not.

You have laws preventing people from doing important things?

I've talked to a few friends in their 20s and 30s who send and receive naked pictures, and none of them have had any problems resulting from it. I've asked the one friend that I'm particularly close with about it, and she says she's done it with pretty much everyone she's dated in the last seven or so years. It's something she enjoys doing for her partner, especially if they're apart.
I think it's downright douchey to forward those sorts of pictures on. And I put the blame ENTIRELY on the person who forwards rather than the person who sent the photo in the first place.
But of course, we live in a victim blaming society, so it's all the girl's fault.

I think your last line is misplaced here. I don't want teens I care about (including my son, my niece, etc.) to send naked photos of themselves, because sometimes kids aren't so good at determining if someone is trustworthy. That's not blaming them or assigning fault if they do, just wanting them to protect themselves from assholes -- and from weaknesses in their own ability, as younger people, to figure out who might be, or become, an asshole.
It would be completely douchey and assholic to show a naked picture of a GF, or an ex-GF, to anyone. A complete betrayal of confidence. (This is without regard to whether you go the picture via text, or you just have nekkid photos around.) But people do it. And teenage boys are particularly stupid, careless, and douchey.
By their 20s and 30s, I hope people have a more reliable sense of each other. I have nieces in high school, and nieces in their 30s. I wouldn't tell the latter that they shouldn't sext someone, because I would have a lot more confidence in their judgment. But I would tell that to the teen.

Plus, no way Atticus is being trusted with the actually important stuff, right? I mean, the town has enough on the ball to limit what goes to him?

My mama taught me how to use context to distinguish a "should" statement from an "is" statement. Your mama's talents apparently lay elsewhere.
