I would read that. Or, you could click “Like” when you like something, and say nothing when you don’t. Because that is an option for you.

Isn't that pretty much what autotune is?

I can't speak for Coltrane, but my secret was reaching the point where I no longer cared.

If you are just in town for the show, stay in Hollywood. Los Globos is in Silverlake, which is a little East of Hollywood, other side of town from SM. You could also stay downtown (there's a kind of new Ace hotel downtown that is pretty trendy right now, if that is your thing). I'd probably stay at the W Hollywood or the Roosevelt and Uber over to the show. I can give you restaurant recs near Silverlake/Echo Park if you want them. The venue will be probably a $10 Uber from Hollywood or a $15 one from downtown.

ETA: Downtown does have more new, fun stuff going on now than Hollywood. The Ace is new and busy but you could also do the JW Marriott or the Ritz by LA Live if that is more your speed. Tons of new bars and restaurants within a mile or two of downtown. Hollywood (especially the part where the W and the Roosevelt are) will be tourist-central. Our version of Times Square.

2 weeks in Feb where I'm doing a class in Irvine Thursday-Saturday. there is an unmentioned storytelling contest in SM then LG on the Tuesdays. Not looking for local color, more simple walk/ride home after the contest. so the advice is perfect, thanks.

Please note that this statement also does not include college sports - based upon my personal experience attending games with Zetas and Tri-Delts* at my square state land grant football factory undergrad alma mater, many hotties are at such games because of school spirit, social interaction, and/or experimentation with alcohol or recreational drugs.

*One year my student season tickets were in the same section as the blocks assigned to these two sororities. I also maybe dated a Tri-Delt, but that was in her "fuck the Greeks" stage and we spent most of our Saturday afternoons fighting The Man by protesting for disinvestment of the university's funds in companies that did business in South Africa, or smoking pot while listening to Husker Du.

Every work email is being responded to with a picture, a complaint about how hot it is and how long the wait here is at Disneykand.

Tell me about it. I’m here right now. 80 in January? Someone did a deal with Satan to create SoCal.

ETA Also, Matterhorn, Jungle Cruise AND Snow White closed for renovations? Can I get a partial refund on $100/person/day?
