Look, I will be shocked if anyone here can match me for visits to CBGBs back when punk was punk. For years I cherished and regularly wore a shirt that had a stain from Joey Ramone's blood on it (from the Paradise). I gave Annie Golden slugs from my flask in a Bowery alley circa 1980. I once pissed in a river with Ivan Kral. Punk may no longer be my thing, but the young Greedy had punk cred.

And all I have to say on the subject is this: back in the day, Patti Smith's homage to jazz was a holy thing.
