After 10 long years they let him out of the home.

It is truly one of my favorite albums - I should pick up one of those cheap turntables at B&N just to listen to it on vinyl with a few crackles and pops.
Speaking of the title track, I'm with @dick_nixon of Twitter on Hinckley's release - once you try to kill the president, you shouldn't get out.
And yes, he's been out of the facility about 50% of the time for the last few years without any problems, and yes I was just poisoned as a child by reading too many pulp thrillers and watching too many Charles Bronson movies, but it just sounds like a Not Good thing for him to be out even under restrictions.

I agree with you on Hinckley. The assassination attempt is literally my earliest memory of a public event. I was 4 and still quite vividly recall the news.
They let Squeaky Fromme out too. Are we the only ones that let out people that attempt to assassinate our leaders?
And just think about it. Ted Cruz's dad gets to walk around scott free every day....

God punished him by giving him Ted for a son.

Did I miss the part where everyone who mocked Romney in 2012 for saying Russia was the biggest threat apologized?

Re: I used to be disgusted, and now I try to be amused.
And as evidence for my assertion that people who like Trump should be committed to a mental institution, I give you the best Trump supporter video ever, which can also serve as today's dose of funk.

Well, I have to say, that really beats the Lizzie Banks thing Hill has.
But I'm waiting for Flower for the Funk.

I am filled with many conflicting emotions right now. In a perverse way, I am glad that an absurdist video as horrifyingly and darkly surreal as that exists and can be readily accessed via the internets. I have other emotions too.
Here is something kind of interesting I found in my daily funk research:
"1. Salt, “Hung Up” on Chocktaw
One of the rarest and most collectible funk records is by a mystery group named Salt. Nobody knows who they are or where they’re from, all we know of them is that they put together these two minutes of hardcore funk. An original pressing of this 45 is worth thousands of dollars – if you can even find it. Take a listen – it’s solid funk."

I will do as the man says and take a listen. You should too.

Damn. Solid funk. Reminds me of another great old timey mystery band.
Probably want to stay under the radar because they've miscegenated and are afraid Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Donald ("Traitor") Trump will come after them.

And that's why everyone you know on the right will be outraged that Trump said he wants the Russians to hack Hillary. Surely.

That people think this is totally bizarre to me. Hillary's instincts are fundamentally moderate. She's not promising any fundamental change to the current status quo, and unless Congress changes hands in a pretty huge way she wouldn't be able to get it. If you believe the feverish things that people said about Obama then you might believe the feverish things people have said about Hillary, but you'll believe anything.
Maybe if you are a conservative who cares most about the Supreme Court and you can look past what the other two branches do and focus only on the Court, then you can convince yourself that naming Scalia's successor is the most important thing that the next President will do.

OTOH, it is hilarious that Hillary's campaign is calling the 30,000 emails that Trump requested the hacking of a matter of "national security". I don't see how that is possible if they just related to things like Chelsea's wedding and yoga routines.

Yes, although I think you really have to have a taste for a peculiar strain of comedy to use the word "hilarious". Different strokes.

The thing about the Supreme Court is that it is possibly the most important, but anyone who thinks that Trump will appoint a strong justice for limited constitutional government is smoking crack. Hillary will without a doubt appoint justices abhorrent to me. As Trump indicated with his attack on the "Mexican" judge, he's going to appoint someone who will cater to his every whim. Not someone who will limit the power of the Presidency. It's not a credible argument. While, in theory, Trump may accidentally stumble onto a position I don't find abhorrent, literally the only argument a Trump supporter can rationally make in his favor is that he's not Hillary. But that's not enough for me.
If Hillary supports the Dem platform, she's not exactly a moderate.

You won't hear me call Hill a moderate. I believe she was Bill's liberal conscience from the beginning, and remains roorted strongly left of center.
But I do think she is practical. She likes what works, not what fits an ideological mold.
The more I see of this election, however, the more I think the Republicans can survive a Trump loss, and keep going their merry way in the Senate and House and at the state level, but a Trump win would kill the party completely.*

I think she's Bernie at heart, but I'm not sure that really matters as she knows from experience what happens when you try to get Bernie enacted.
Hillary may not personally be a moderate, but a Hillary presidency will be "moderate" in that she will do only what she thinks she can get done.
