You do realize Murray is a buffoon? He's the Jeff Lord of the Harvard Faculty, who only has a job their because they needed a token conservative no matter how dumb?

And here I am sitting in my bubble missing out on what could be HUGE breaks in non-bubble stories.

You're losing. Call it a bubble, call it delusion, whatever. You are losing and whining, and when someone tells you it might be wise to find a different approach, you recoil and flip out.
If you're all so fucking smart, why can't you manipulate rubes? You grew up among them, apparently. These aren't difficult targets to bullshit.
The game is PT Barnum. You may not like it, but you don't get to change the rules until you win at it. Unfortunately, to get over that threshold, you need to play it.
Maybe in 2018... Maybe not.

I'm not informing you of shit. I'm reminding you. You're such a dense fuck, it needs to be repeated to you endlessly that your head is up your ass.

Nah, suggesting you're being a moron isn't flipping out. You're being a moron.
The broader cultural battle will be won and is being won among the young. Every one of my old moronic relatives has kids who have emerged with far more sense than you could ever recognize. But, man, it is so sad the ills I see in that part of the world that could probably be cured with a bit of immigration.

Read Taibbi's Insane Clown President. It's as good as Campaign 72. It explains the bubble elements and silo effects that led to Trump quite well. Ohio gets a good bit of discussion.

I agree that progress still wins out. That's why I don't worry much about Trump.
But TM's all in a lather about the politics, so I offered, for the 70th time, the same point: Half of the Country Does Not Care About Russia.
Scream all you like about it -- the tribes have already decided their own private "facts." The only way to beat Trump is at the ballot box.

I'm still reading the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, and thinking about your point yesterday that all's fair in politics. Hey, it worked for the Romans, amiright?

You can't really be dumb enough to believe that me baiting you to tell me Trump Jr.'s emails were a big nothing burger was me "in a lather," could you? Don't answer. We know.

Once again, you are not providing a service. We all know the country and the electorate is filled with idiots, at least 35% of which will support Trump no matter what comes out.

Neoliberal economics has left us with a system where the almost only rule is power.
Nobody likes a playa hater.
My equating HRC's emails with Stupid Watergate (Hat tip, Oliver) was intended to point out why I cared about neither. Was HRC guilty if something? The answer is, Who cares? She was the subject of a witch hunt, so if she destroyed a paper trail, I give her a pass. I believe you have s right to thwart an unjust political investigation. Similarly, was Trump's campaign guilty of colluding with Russians to help him to win? Seems pretty clear something was going on in that regard. And we should know about it. And perhaps technical crimes may be found. But politics in this modern, naked money-and-power-are-the-only-rules world is such that one must ask: What Campaign wouldn't take a call from Russians (or anyone else) offering "the goods" on an opponent?

Your general demeanor on the election is lathered enough to flood Manhattan with soap bubbles.
Punk ass bitch? 2006 is calling. Short some home builder sticks.

Speaking of which, I finally tried to read Gravity's Rainbow. I agree with the members of the Pulitzer Prize Advisory Board (which chose not to award the Prize in Literature in 1974 rather than give it to Gravity's Rainbow) who called it "unreadable" and "turgid."
