As I said on FB, the problem isn't the constitution keeps invalidating gun control laws as being over broad. The problem is we have no gun control laws passed.

Nothing in the 2d amendment would prevent a registration and fee requirement. "Well-regulated" is there and could mean, y'know, "well-regulated."

If you can't bar people from owning weapons at least make it so cost prohibitive that people can't. Has worked a bit for cigarettes in NYC.

I realize the LV shooter had means but dropping maybe $10k to own a weapon may have altered his choice.

This. Taxes on guns ought to reflect the many social costs that those guns trigger -- from policing to healthcare. And insurance should be required to compensate and provide care for the victims of guns, including the huge number of accidental victims.

Nobody thinks about the costs others - including the families of 58 people - pay when they buy a gun.

I can’t remember if I even said this before.

I have a few people I work with that cc me into conversations. The nature of the conversation is “how do you do x”. The mad ccers are subordinates and the nature of the cc is “I dunno, ask Icky”.

Am I wrong that this is a quasi dick move?

Depends on the nature of X. If it is "survive what seems a Judge wanting to SJ my case," then no. If "file a complaint in Bum Fuck Arkansas," than yes. Although I think I might send to you only in the first instance so you can decide if you want to get involved.

Well, if you're looking for me to offer some hopeful comforting words, you can forget it. This country is fucked.
