Fair enough. Avenatti is playing with the first team. But the manipulation attempted in that affidavit, the writing intended to sound like it was only the witness’s own words in the most charged passages — that was JV.

But I think when he was saying it that he probably truly thought you'd understand being thrown under the bus to save his relationship (especially if you guys were truly close).
