Question for the board:
As the altered weather map underscores for like the millionth time, our country is being led by an emotionally stunted, dangerously narcissistic, pathologically lying child. Which might be kind of funny if the above were not paired with a political base that has a not insignificant amount of hate-filled racists and xenophobes, whose views and power I believe have been amplified and legitimized by a president who expresses racist views does nothing to counter the hatred in a significant portion of his political base. So, assuming this is correct, if you vote for him anyway, not because you have any interest supporting racial or ethnic hatred, but because you believe he is most likely to make you personally more prosperous, are you exhibiting racism? Not in an affirmative "I hate minorities" way, but rather in a "I'm fine with racism, or at least willing to tolerate and vote for a racist, if my own financial lot is bettered" way.
