I think a mix is best. It's been best for me. I tell him (and myself) that I don't want to put on any more muscle* because my knees are happiest when I'm at my current weight or below.

It's probably a combination of genetics and the big lifts. But being "ripped" is due to diet. He probably looks like he weighs 215 but is actually 185. You and I (I think) enjoy the occasional beer, pizza and other such things. He probably avoids them. If you're strict with the diet you really don't have to do any cardio. I really only do cardio (a) because it feels good, and (b) so I can (mostly) eat/drink what I want.
I think you're a little older than me, and I'm on the same page with muscle - I don't want more. Those days are over. I just want to be strong and pain free. And the lighter I am, the better my back feels.

If it's only the side-by-side I saw, it's like one sentence between two quotes from cases. If that's all there is, I would respectfully suggest that Judge Sullivan over-reacted.

If the latter, there are a bunch of attorneys running around DC doing some very, very bad things these days, many of which may not run directly afoul of the Rules of Professional Conduct. I'm not sure getting academic concepts of attribution and citation into the Rules is my top priority. But, yeah, I wouldn't copy it word for word and wouldn't want one of my partners or associates to, either.
That having been said, I just sent a nasty letter to someone (a variation on a troll) making a claim against a client and it was based heavily on a brief filed in another case against the same company (with attribution, I was trying to rub in their face that I knew they were already on the hot seat for bad behavior), and I didn't have a lot of compunction about having us track another good argument pretty closely, though adding lots of detail on our own facts and trying to twist the knife a couple more times here and there.

If it's good I will paraphrase the shit out it. I'd be flattered if someone re-used my argument.

Here's what Sullivan's decision said:
Quote:
The Court notes that Mr. Flynn’s brief in support of his first Brady motion lifted verbatim portions from a source without attribution. Compare Def.’s Br., ECF No. 109 at 11-12, 15-16, 15 n.21, with Brief of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers et al. as Amici Curiae Supporting Petitioner, Brown v. United States, 566 U.S. 970 (2012) (No. 11-783), 2012 WL 242906 at *5-6, *8, *12-13, *12 n.6. In a footnote, Mr. Flynn’s brief merely provides a hyperlink to the “excellent briefing by Amicus [sic] in support of the Petition for Writ of Certiorari in Brown v. United States.” Def.’s Br., ECF No. 109 at 16 n.22.

Hard to tell how much text was lifted, but it sounds like much more than a single sentence. FWIW.

Re: Doesn’t Matter Who Wins the K Race; We’re All the Same
Seems like there are a lot of people who have drafted from mainstream media over to Fox and done OK for themselves: Lou Dobbs, John Roberts, Bill Hemmer, Tucker Carlson, Greta Van Susteren, Howie Kurtz, Bernard Goldberg.
But it's very hard to go the other way. Look at what happened to Megyn Kelly. Once you recalibrate to talk to conservatives, it's hard to talk to a normal audience again.

I've actually turned into a bit of a freak. I go in and out, but when I'm in, I do intermittent fasting and keto at the same time. (It sounds crazier than it is, though.) Dropped 25 pounds and didn't lose much muscle, so just as strong. But I no longer really have any body fat. So, yeah. It's all about the diet.
The guy I'm talking about is a freak of nature and I don't think he truly understands. He knows way more about fitness and diet than I will ever know. And I think he eats fairly clean, but not insane. He's much younger, but it's like he has more muscle per square inch than a normal human being should. He can squat snatch 225 without much effort. Short guy. And if you saw him walking down the street, you wouldn't know that he's the monster that he is. I think he consumes tons of protein and lifts a shit ton of weights.

I think I'm a lot older than you. But, yeah. If I wanted to pack on muscle, I would triple my protein intake (at least). I don't even care about being any stronger. I just want to be pain-free and in shape.

Often, it's fun to poke the bear, walk away, and then watch the bear die of starvation due to global warming.

He did it for a superhero movie and said:

I never thought I’d be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I’ve worked way too hard for way too long so here we are. You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I found out a year ago I was going to be in Marvel’s Eternals and decided I wanted to transform how I looked. I would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world. I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time.

Not such a big secret that Jackman did steroids for Wolverine. And you can't tell me that Cavill isn't on all kinds of cycles.

Re: Doesn’t Matter Who Wins the K Race; We’re All the Same
Would like to see more Republican Senators asked about this:
Quote:
Stunning news out of federal court this afternoon: that mystery million dollars that Lev Parnas got from aboard was money from Dmitry Firtash, the former Manafort business partner and Putin-aligned oligarch who is currently fighting extradition to the United States to face bribery charges. We’ve had a lot of hints to date that Firtash was the guy funding Rudy’s team in Ukraine. But this seems to confirm it. Where’s the money for all of this coming from? Why is Giuliani working for free? Why did his fellow Trump lawyers and Fox news regulars DiGenova and Toensing get over a million for a few months of legal work for Firtash. This news tells us what many have suspected: the President’s legal defense – Giuliani, Parnas, Fruman, DiGenova and Toensing and the rest of the collusion squad – is being funded by Firtash.

I agree. I'm 6'1" and have never been over 200 lbs. When I was in my early 20s I tried like a maniac to gain muscle (and I did...a little). I didn't know back then how important nutrition is, but for many people it's really hard to pack on a lot of muscle. You have to constantly eat in a calorie surplus and eat tons of protein. And even then there are significant limitations as to how much muscle you can actually put on.
Every time I hear a woman tell me that she doesn't want to lift weights because she's afraid it will bulk her up it drives me crazy. Unless you are really trying (eating a shit ton), you're not going to bulk up.
