Do you mean to tell me, that there are people in Minnesota, who go around saying "Namaste" in stead of "hello" or "good day"? I have never in my life heard of anything so ludicrous or pretentiously clueless. It is positively Peters Sellersian. Nope, I dont believe you. Not even in the most godawful piece of suburban sprawl in the 703 area code would I imagine in my worst nightmare someone might say that to someone as a greeting. Could not happen. I assume you are not speaking of the signoff at the end of yoga class.
