Other than pregnancy concerns, why should it matter whether its your son or your daughter having sex? Do you think your daughter's less into sex than her bf?
This whole macho line of "I'll never let my daughter out of the house" horseshit is comedy. Your daughter is going to go out and get laid, and there ain't jack shit you can do about it. Get off your high horse and be an adult about things. Being an adult involves realizing the reality for what it is - teenagers fuck.. a lot... and last I heard, it took two to fuck.
EDIT - If my daughter brought home the lizard guy, I would be pretty upset. That said, i think its quite homoerotic for dad to be offering his input about suitors. In order to select a suitor, dad would probably imagine whom he'd rather have his daughter sleep with, and I don't think men should be considering the bedroom prowess of 17 year old boys.
