In light of E/O's subsequent posts on the lies he's been telling their group of friends and his not following through on something related to the police calls, I wonder if the police didn't take him seriously because of what he said or did about the GF. This happens with women too so don't get on my case about that.

Of course it happens with women, too. When it happens, do you have no sympathy for the abused woman, because she didn't follow through on charges and made inconsistent statements to cops/family/friends?

It seems that those who do not act rationally (from Fugee's perspective anyway) get no sympathy.
I suspect they get no fruit cup either. |

My post was more a matter of how outraged to be that the police aren't doing anything than about sympathy. I was responding to Sidd's post that I read as being in the tenor of "the guy tried to get help from the cops and they wouldn't take him seriously." If the cops didn't take him seriously because he's a guy and they don't think guys can be abused, that's something to get riled up about. But if they didn't take him seriously because he didn't do what was necessary for them to be able to do anything, that's a different story. |

Maybe it is in the definition because I can't believe all you people who think I'm so heartless really have that much sympathy for E/O's friend (except for E/O of course).
