You sound like a Cook County judge, except they don't read anything.

Rose's comment has gotten all the attention for obvious reasons, but Webber has said in various places that when he went on a recruiting trip to Durham, he didn't feel comfortable. And Webber's that sort of cross over guy--grew up in D, in Jalen's neighborhood, but both parents at home and had jobs and he went to private high school.
So, he's the sort of guy that K might try to get and fail, but I have no idea if Duke ever gets beyond initial recruiting trips with anyone like Webber--that's the real question, isn't it? If Duke makes offers and gets second visits out of "Jalens" who decide that Duke just isn't the right place for them.

Maybe because you're trying to fill the emptiness that is your life by taking time to actually read our drivel? No?

Whatever. Your counter was vile. I won't even repeat what was requested. Yes I like meth, but no decent human likes it that much.

It will be the final straw. Middle America can only take so much.

It was sort of my point that some of the midwestern schools* are lily white but I'm not sure you could make the inference that people are making with Duke. Clearly Wisconsin's program is several levels below the level of Duke. I think they've made the Elite 8 (maybe Final 4?) once in the last 10 years. And that was likely a fluke. They get their big midwestern white guys from in state and neighboring states.Everyone on the team this year is from Wisconsin, Illinois or Minnesota.** They tend to go after the HS Mr Basketball guys in the region. One of their stars this year is black (Jordan Taylor, from Minnesota) and it seems like they usually have one or two black starters on their team but the team is predominantly, year after year, known for its big doofy white guys who can shoot.
*The overall racial profile of the states in the midwest varies pretty wildly, with Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa on one side and Michigan and Illinois on the other and Ohio somewhere in the middle, I'd guess.
**Oops, rereading the roster there is one outlier from Phoenix.

I'm pretty sure Minnesota gets both the frozen tundra and cornfield reaction from most of the stellar basketball players from outside of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin & the Dakotas.
Even you did'nt want to come back here after law school.

It's not a fluke. Wisconsin is always good, because they play hard-nosed disciplined basketball and great defense. They're the kind of team that can win on any given night.
And I say that as someone who hates them.

Before an injury, Minnesota had four in-state players starting, only one of whom was white. I wish we had some big doofy white guys who can shoot too, though.
