Are they going to cook at French Laundry for the finale?

Maybe French Laundry. Maybe the culinary school up in Napa. Maybe even some fancy-ass wineries. There's a whole lot of options up there.

As for Padma, literally your answer is correct, but I was looking for something deeper. Temporary insanity? She has a part in a Buck Rogers remake? Her new stylist would also like to finger-paint the Pieta?

Are bangs soothing to babies?

Gadgets

Anyone have views on the iPhone vs. other smart phone options (e.g. DROID)?

No. Babies have a pretty specific and limited focus on breasts. Little else is soothing, or even relevant, to them.

My impression is that the iPhone is still the best device, but that the ATT network is a significant problem.

More Pathetic Than a Man In a Tuxedo in Jail ...

The only thing more pathetic than a man in a tuxedo in jail is a man in a tuxedo who has to call his ex-girlfriend to bond him out of jail.

There were so many surreal moments, from his pathetic 4 am voicemails disclosing he'd been at a gala and with "a friend" to actually seeing him behind the glass in a striped jump suit, to seeing him actually emerge, in an untucked shirt and carrying his possessions and cufflinks in a bag.

Bottom line: don't drink and drive.

I am quite happy with mine. It's hard to know how much the network is a problem because it's not like you can try it out on other networks. Voice really hasn't been an issue for me in DC. The data is hinky at times, but hard to tell whether it's a coverage or capacity issue.

If you want to use it for internet use it blows blackberries out of the water. They aren't even in the same ocean, in fact. Email is a much closer proposition, although I prefer iPhone I can understand the desire for a physical keyboard. Strokes/folks. I have it integrated with a Mac, so can't comment on how it works with PCs (which is important mainly for syncing things, although I use gmail and gcal so don't really use the sync feature for those anyway).
