if i may intrude into your marital political body, i suggest having the husband choose a costume fully independent of your nun costume. my wife was once Lucy and I became "Ricky". "Ricky" is a guy in a suit talking funny. I felt unimaginative, and an accessory. It was years ago, but I wonder if i don't still carry some slight grudge for not being more in the mix that night
and, lest you think me non-romantic, we have had wonderful couple's costumes- one year Gilligan and the Skipper as an example. those couple's costumes that have worked, however, set us up as full partners.
and by the way, this may be your best year for gilligan and the skipper. YWIA practice "C'mon lil buddy."

Plastic Fantastic Luster?
Um, I'm not sure how I feel about this - http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/332464...on_and_beauty/ (article re Miss Plastic Hungary beauty contest)
and, upon further "research," I have located the contestants.

Twilight
I'm reading book 1 of the Twilight Saga and liking it. Aside from my crappy taste, do I want to get the other books?

Better.

I'm not disputing that there may be relaxation associated with acupuncture. But is that seriously why practitioners say that it is effective? Because it is "relaxing"? Because if a "sedation effect" is all that is needed to cure your ills, I'm afraid we're playing right back into the hands of Big Pharma and Cultural Imperialism.

True enough. I don't think that's what the people who practice Eastern Medicine would give as the reason for the efficacy of acupuncture. The sedating effect was a theory advanced as an explanation for why acupuncture might still be helpful in relieving whatever ailment (I can't remember what it was now) the people in that study had, notwithstanding that the needles were placed in the wrong spot for that particular ailment.

But wouldn't that be a concession by the people advancing the theory that sedating someone is as effective (or in the case of the fertility test, more effective) than actual acupuncture?

I had the acupuncture today. After the needles were inserted i fell asleep. Very relaxing. Afterwards I drank some Champagne and then had the sex. Thrice, iykwimaiktyd. All in all, tres relaxing. I am still sleeping now.
Is this wrong? Am I a fool for in indulging in this faux curative?
Sincerely,
Concerned in Seattle

My brother has described reading the books as like being on an eight-hour express train to some place you don't really want to go. You don't particularly enjoy the destination or the journey, but can't get off midway.
Others who've enjoyed the books have said they get better after the first one. I'm not likely to ever read them regardless.

Two people recommended them and I'm not that picky. Also, not a lot going on in my life right now.
