PS - Appelman abandoned his 2 (highly overrated) SF restaurants in the middle of the night - a la the Cleveland Browns - and then latched onto a PIZZA joint in NYC, so my guess is that he wins.

actual fashion question
I heard mike tyson this morning. there are cosmetic surgery options for every physical feature. there are treatments to modify one's mental processes, shock therapy (hi Flinty!), etc.
but there is nothing one can do to fix a bad voice, is there?

Oh, and re: voices, I would pay good money to listen to Joel Robuchon talk about anything -- hell, he could read the phone book. I replayed his comments from that Elimination Challenge on Top Chef about 14 times. Sitting 2 feet from the teevee. His food is out of this world, too.

I ate at the Chef's table at Bryan's restaurant a few months ago. The food was delicious and unlike anything I've had before (Minibar is the closest experience I've had, but Bryan's food wasn't quite as experimental). He was in the kitchen and I got to watch him make a lot of my food, and he served a few of the courses to us as well. What surprised me most (I don't know why) is that IRL he is exactly the way he appears on tv -- very serious and reserved. The other couple at the table kept asking him questions to try to get him to crack a smile or laugh, but he answered all of their questions as if they were talking about the bible or baseball or something.

I called that one as well. But there was one guy I thought was smart enough to figure it out and win it all; instead he got buffaloed.
Too bad Anderson Cooper decided to be a serious news guys and quit hosting reality TV.

Is he the one brother out of the two who keeps the other assholes from criticizing the chefs who are called in with the worst dishes? Because I respect that. Last week, Jackass Michael was talking about how they all knew who should go home and (I think) Bryan said something like, "Did you taste her food? Because if you didn't, you don't know who the hell should go home." He did something similar last episode as well. I don't like the brothers, but they're clearly talented. And out of the two, I'd rather he win.

We went to his restaurant over Thanksgiving last year. It was excellent.

I think you were watching a rerun of the last season, but I think there are new ones.

Just WTF?!? How is that guy still in?!? He's always in the bottom 3, and his creations are ridiculous. Shirin's dress was not exactly inspired, but she's shown she can put together some nice stuff. Christopher SUCKS! There was the show where he was crying his eyes out (the shirt dress and the green pumpkin disco ball), then the show where he made that tin-foily looking thing (HIDEOUS!!), and then yesterday's Piece of Crap. Meanwhile, Shirin almost won last week and has been in the top several times.
Is the only reason Logan is still in because he's Not Gay? He's good looking, but you'd think he was some kind of movie star the way everyone drools over him. He's just your average grungy-looking slacker dude.
Finally, though -- someone has said it. Irina, while a good designer (I think she's the best one there), is a class-A bitch.

Back off bee-yotch! Christopher is from Minnesota.
(I thought the short shorts were heinous but the bustier looked nice in the pictures and it seemed more like something Christina Aguilera would wear onstage than some of the dresses.)

I'm with ya, baby. Christopher had promise but lost his way. I want the Minnie to represent, but he should be long gone. I think they are using creative editing to play up the Irina bitch thing, but it is working. Did you see the cut to the expression on her face when Shirin walked back in after losing? Classic! I like the Germanic-Slav woman (Giordana?) and predicted her to win, but I think she will be out after they boot Christopher next week.
