I do think Newt is very smart. Whackadoo, but smart, in the egghead sense.

On the second part, you are probably right. I was hoping for a moment that Newt's smarts could be used for Good instead of Evil, but that was the drugs talking.

If anything might have stirred the slightest feeling that Newt was deserving of another look and a real attempt to suss out exactly what he's been saying lately, it would have been Charles Krauthammer* calling him a straight-up DEAD MAN for daring to talk off the points. But that didn't quite do it either. I just cannot care about the Newt anymore.**

If she were skinny, Ahhnold would do her. It's not a great picture but I don't think she's that much of a butter face. From what I understand, Rick's main money people have already pledged elsewhere. Bob Perry, best known for his Swift Boat work in 2004, is a Pawaltry man and so are a lot of the other reliable Perry donors.

I'd love to see him go, but I don't know if the top of the ticket is how to get him out of here.
