I do think Newt is very smart. Whackadoo, but smart, in the egghead sense.

On the second part, you are probably right. I was hoping for a moment that Newt's smarts could be used for Good instead of Evil, but that was the drugs talking.

If anything might have stirred the slightest feeling that Newt was deserving of another look and a real attempt to suss out exactly what he's been saying lately, it would have been Charles Krauthammer* calling him a straight-up DEAD MAN for daring to talk off the points. But that didn't quite do it either. I just cannot care about the Newt anymore.**

Maybe I am still in mourning for the Trump run that never was. I was so sure he'd tough it out, too.

Oh, get off your fainting couch.

Next week Newt will incorporate the Imported Spirits Duty Free Bill into his omnibus alternative healthcare/energy independence/man-animal hybrid subsidy proposal, and you'll be breaking out the old NEWT FOR PRES yard signs again.

Different Ahhhhnold lover and mother of different purported love child.

At least Tiger apparently knew how to use birth control (or make sure his women did).

From the Billowing Smoke emerges... The Glitterati!!

From Newt's Flack (aka, his "literati")

Quote:

The literati sent out their minions to do their bidding. Washington cannot tolerate threats from outsiders who might disrupt their comfortable world. The firefight started when the cowardly sensed weakness. They fired timidly at first, then the sheep not wanting to be dropped from the establishment's cocktail party invite list unloaded their entire clip, firing without taking aim their distortions and falsehoods. Now they are left exposed by their bylines and handles. But surely they had killed him off. This is the way it always worked. A lesser person could not have survived the first few minutes of the onslaught. But out of the billowing smoke and dust of tweets and trivia emerged Gingrich, once again ready to lead those who won't be intimated by the political elite and are ready to take on the challenges America faces.

Hey Hank

Yglesias:

Quote:

Via John Gruber, the US Patent and Trademark Office has awarded Facebook a patent for photo tagging.

I think it’s difficult to maintain that absent said patent there would be insufficient economic incentive for programmers to want to create “the next Facebook” or for venture capitalists to invest in it. What this kind of promiscuous patent-granting does is stifle competition and massively complicate any new innovative firms. A big existing company can easily hire lawyers to deal with intellectual property issues, but as you’ll recall Facebook was founded by a couple of college students in their dorm. That’s how businesses get started, and that means you have to be able to do it without an army of lawyers
Patent

Thoughts?

tagging is a pretty neat idea. and I'm pretty sure companies like Facebook are getting sued by tiny companies and individuals way more than the other way around.

If she were skinny, Ahhnold would do her. It's not a great picture but I don't think she's that much of a butter face. Definitely not as hot as the other purported baby mama but I bet she was better looking 10-14 years ago than Maria should have dared to have as household help given Ahnold's reputation as a hound dog.

I have no sense what life is like for the unattractive, but given that Arnold could have impregnated a beautiful woman, I wonder if the son wouldn't be jealous of his half-siblings from the beautiful women, Maria and the other bim.

Maybe Adder or GGG would tell us if the unattractive spend much time wondering how it could have been different?

I know you love fine food, but imagine you're tired and hungry: wouldn't you be tempted to eat a frozen pizza that's in your fridge just because you don't want to go out?

TMZ reportedly has a pic of her from the year of the conception. Fugee's charitable theory for a more attractive youth does not hold up.

I feel bad for her in a monica Lewinsky kind of way- the story is bad enough, but all the buzz is about how ugly she is.

it's cruel. no offense but I judge you.

Others answered this for me, so I'll just ask --- does Mrs. C call you "pizza-man"? And, until now, did you think it was a cute Hill Street Blues reference?

I remember Ty and John Kerry saying we can trust the UN to deal with Iran. Smh

On the other hand, the fact that God didn't let Kerry win the election points to he's not letting the world end this Saturday. if we were headed for end times anyway, why not let Kerry do some of the ground work?

No. Obama fixed it all.

There's an election coming up, but no one who is worth talking about is running.

One could speculate about why Rick Perry is staying out of the race, but it's probably the gay thing.

One could speculate about why Chris Christie is staying out of it, but it's probably the asshat thing.

Otherwise it's Romney vs. T-Paw vs. Daniels vs. Paul. So Fake Snooze vs. Snooze vs. Who? Really? vs. Batshit Insane. So yeah, not looking too exciting there.

I may actually nip out of the office this afternoon to rally against the proposed anti-gay marriage amendment here. Y'all know how I love some man on man or woman on woman marrying (oddly enough transman on woman is a-okay already).

I am busy collecting clothes and shoes to leave lying on the ground Saturday, so the fundies think the god fearing Christians have been sucked up into heaven in the rapture leaving them here.

Problem is, I have several thousand spare sets of womens shoes, but only 3 pairs of old shoes from men.

From what I understand, Rick's main money people have already pledged elsewhere. Bob Perry, best known for his Swift Boat work in 2004, is a Pawaltry man and so are a lot of the other reliable Perry donors.

I'd love to see him go, but I don't know if the top of the ticket is how to get him out of here.
