I think that for Less "advocating payroll tax cuts because Republicans won't pass anything else" somehow means "totally loving the Laffer Curve and wanting to have like a thousand of its babies." Apropos of which, I heard Geithner on the radio this morning, or maybe it was yesterday, and thought he did a really good job of explaining the Administration's economic policy. They need him to do that more. Otherwise, the zombies will keep winning.

that's crazy. When I first studied the company's product, I wondered how the DOE could approve it, given that it seemed a very impractical solution. (Do you know if DOE has anyone with a science degree in the vetting process?) "OHH, it's solar stuff, let's buy into it!"

Anyway, thanks for the article. Now that I see it was approved in March 2009, and that the main investor was an Obama bag man cashing his chips it makes sense. Say what you will, Obama did promise transparency and this is as transparent as it gets.

Mubarak didn't go down because Obama threw him under the bus -- more narcissism -- and what I read yesterday made it pretty clear that it wasn't the Muslim Brotherhood that was storming the Israeli embassy. [eta: Who needs religious extremism when you have nationalism? Egyptians are upset about the border guards who were killed recently.] Israel is in danger, but it is hardly the fault of Obama's so-called "anti-Semitism."

I was on an iPhone yesterday and couldn't figure out what you meant by that page and just shouldn't have posted. Now I've looked from a desktop, and as best as I can tell Obama visited the factory once. Seriously, give me a break. The business coverage that I saw about Solyndra's bankruptcy had a bunch of people saying that US solar producers can't compete with Chinese producers with state subsidies (oh the irony), and a few saying that Solyndra made a bad bet in light of what then happened in the market. And it's not like Solyndra is alone:

So there are plenty of pretty innocuous explanations for what has happened that make sense without getting to a conspiracy theory about Obama corruptly steering money to a contributor. OTOH, I don't see the FBI raiding the others, so it sounds like something fishy was going on with Solyndra. But seeing that is a long way from pinning something on Obama.
