Expect some outrageousnous from Barney, and don't be surprised if he finds a high profile perch from which to spew Barneyisms at the world. When Barney goes, ain't no one going to forget Barney.

As to his district, meh. He would have won, but he'd much rather piss people off than stroke them, and stroking is what campaigns are all about. Barney is my favorite over-the-top asshole in all of DC.

I know it's like cutting off my nose to spite my face, but I am taking some pleasure in seeing the EU implode. Those condescending pricks were so holier than thou during our banking crisis. |

But, honestly, it's the folks bordering the North Sea who are insufferable, not the ones bordering the Mediterranean.

I hope you listened to Frank's rebuttal of the whole conservative whine about him and housing; one thing you'll always get with Barney is an intelligent debate, even if he has to do all the talking to make it so.

Barney wrote legislation - a lot of it and working with almost any cosponsors of any party. He wasn't afraid of compromise, and he did not sit on the sidelines whining endlessly, which is all Boehner's babies are doing.

I happen to think he's also a pretty good one, but even if you disagree with his politics, there is something there to enjoy.

Oh, and by Rush who won't get to "accidently" call him "Barney Fag" or play "Dancing Queen" at his every mention anymore. |
