TRUE STORY:
The first time I went long, my mantra for the day was a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:

Nonsense. Self delusion is the grease of our society. Without the undying belief "it will get better" and/or "there'll be fulfillment from this at some point" 90% of us wouldn't even get out the front door five days a week.
