And? People die. Maybe he had a heart attack. Maybe he ODed.
You think there is a rash of occupy murders?

Apparently he was a homeless drug addict taken in by the protesters.
So club's view will be that they were druggie enablers, and Adder's will be that they were compassionate human beings helping someone in distress.
Of course, Adder is much more right. But, boy, helping out the homeless is a big public safety problem, and ought to be discouraged. They should die quietly, out of the way, and certainly without coverage by Fox "News".

There have been numerous reports of violence at these events, include rape and child abuse. Yes, these things happen generally in society, but they're more likely to happen in situations like this.

Serious question: Why?
Why is rape or child abuse (or homeless drug addict dying) more likely in situations like this? I don't see it.
ETA: Also, for diagnostic reasons: could you also please answer whether you think the Madison protests were plagued by union violence?

Really, why? I've been imagining these gatherings as more like urban versions of Burning Man, without the burning man.

A lot of Burners are helping with the logistics. They're good at mass gatherings and concensus development.
