 I have no doubt the Catholic Church could pull a Grand Inquisitor any time it benefitted them, but this isn't a case where they need to.  Well, I guess my calendar for the first weekend in October just freed up.   I'd done that "race" for the last five years or so, almost always with the Planned Parenthood group.  Easy enough to give my cancer charity donations directly to Planned Parenthood and M.D. Anderson directly. And I can run 3 miles without 50,000 of my closest friends shuffling along side.
