 | And as often as not, someone senior in the large organization orders the stuipd thing to be done and makes the junior person in the public-facing role carry it out. Then when the shit hits the fan, blame gets deflected elsewhere. |

 | Some quotes from the discussion thread on this topic over on the Celtic board, where this has been A Hot Topic for days ...

	Quote:

		| The staff in the Glasgow Brewdog pub are a bunch of hipster wankers, and looking at that statement it's easy to see where theyre getting their attitude. It's almost enough to make me side with Diageo, who are obviously in the wrong |
	Quote:

		| Whilst Diageo have had a 'mare here, Brewdog's self-importance and arrogance does my box in. They fair instil it in their staff, too. They do a couple of good beers and it's a nice concept but they're so up themselves that they make me look humble.
 |
	Quote:

		| Think their beer is crap, well the ones I have tasted and they sound like tossers, talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, they could just stated the facts and left it at that. |
	Quote:

		| Don't think Brewdog will see it that way - the publicity they have gained from this has been incredible. There will be a whole lot of new people who had never heard of Brewdog now interested to try their beers on the back of this. Priceless advertising. Of all the people for Diageo to try this stunt with, Brewdog would have to be the worst - they are hardly shrinking violets. Coupled with that they have a massive and loyal social media following and they had this trending worldwide at one point yesterday afternoon. | And so we see how this particular teacup tempest ends up here ...

Folks digging into the data are concluding that it's pretty complicated.
Big swaths of NC are pretty sparsely populated, and you and I both know the types who live there once you get off I-85 or I-40. I figured that the blend of ignorance about the bill, victimology and the generic well-protecting-marriage-is-a-good-thing-of-course would end up with the damn thing getting passed. I'm from North Carolina originally, and the whole episode saddens me. |

Anyone who doesn't have me on ignore knows everything Gatti just said was told to you several years ago.

And every time the tagline is "One more reason to homeschool." Only my love of family cohesion keeps me from posting all the unpublished Court of Appeal decisions in CPS cases about the dads who keep their kids home from school in order better to rape them, because that is just as relevant to the issue.
