Yeah, yeah rest of the elite soccer teams in the world, you may be having your little tournament, but I'm the best player in the world.

The guy commenting on Gol tv was a little over the top (I do believe at one point he thanked god for allowing him to call not one, but three Messi goals).

(Not the Gol tv commentary, but a pretty shot of the goal.)

In related news, I hope Less finds the Irish fans in his travels. They appear to out-fan even the Dutch in this tournament.

The Irish fans may be a bit more subdued. Or maybe not.

Any suggestions for things to do in and near Portland (Oregon) for three generations of a family on a weekend?

I typically plan on meeting Ollie at a bar then wait for an hour before I realize I'm stood up. Your kids may not enjoy that though?

Did some horseback riding, some hiking, some swimming, lay in hammocks reading, listened to the old songs, and built one holy mother of a bonfire out back the last night so we could tell stories and engage in pagan rituals.

Powell´s City of Books downtown. We have had this argument before, but best bookstore ever to me.

Voodoo Donuts, also downtown.

The Rose Garden (slash, I cannot figure out where it is on this keyboard) zoo in the main park just east of downtown in summer.

Pok Pok, if your generations like spicy Thai.

Wandering antique shops in Sellwood.

Any of many micro-breweries - good for all ages.

I know Tim Tebow is saving himself for marriage. I keep hearing him linked to ladies that didn't. If he ends up with one of them won't it make the honeymoon much less special?
