dude, no offense but you need really good hair to pull off a waistcoat. Unless, is it for the GP whose bags you carry?

Re: Stuck on Repeats
so tonight a guy may lock up the triple crown. It hasn't happened since 1967. I hear little buzz (outside Detroit) about it though, in fact mainstream press says the MVP will more likely be some American guy on the Angels. It's been 45 years. How can he not be hands down MVP?
Honestly, Cabrera is winning in all 3 stats. It's impossible, he should thank the tigers for getting Prince Fielder and for putting Prince behind him, but how is this not national news and local news everywhere every night? Is it just a bias against a Hispanic guy? What is going on?

I hear about it, mostly as we've been rooting for Mauer to win another batting title to deny Cabrera the triple crown.
But I have to agree that if he wins it, he should be the MVP. Just to recognize that rarity of the feat.
I think it gets discounted for him, though, because hitting at a massively high level is expected from him.

What are you talking about? It's been a solid story line on ESPN for the last 3 weeks. If you're talking about local news, it's always just local sports or huge sporting events. It's like that everywhere. When he wins, they'll talk about it.
And if he doesn't win, everyone with a vote is overthinking what the word "valuable" means. He's clearly the MVP. Trout is awesome and he brought the Angels back from irrelevance earlier this year. But he's just new and shiny. Cabrera's numbers blow his away.

Local news in tcotu. I understand Granderson is about the only one that could knock him off, in HRs. There should be live feeds on ESPN of both games, it's the triple Crown for fuck sakes. Last time someone won it Wonk still could get natural boners. And up till September maybe there could have been MVP arguments but not the last few weeks. 1967 1967.

Not saying Cabrera doesn't deserve it, but Ted Williams won the triple crown twice and didn't win the MVP award either season. And of the 9 winners since the MVP award was created, only 5 won the MVP that year.

45 years, plus we won our division (we'd be fourth in yours, but still).

Re: Stuck on Repeats
Granderson pulled for a pinch hitter in the 7th? Why? He could have had another at bat, conceivably hit 2 more and beat Cabrera. I'm glad he's out but do not get it.

Pretty low likelihood he even gets a 2d AB.

Congrats to him. It was reasonable to think it might never happen again.

Paul Stuart. Or, in town, Robert Bennett. Of course, in order for it to be a proper waistcoat, you have to have the matching trousers and jacket. So, to rephrase your question, where can on find a proper three-piece suit?
