Bernie as President just seems... insane? And I like the guy. Shit. He and Warren are the only two candidates I'd leave alone near the good silverware. But he's not really electable.

Liz v. Joe. Winner gets to be savaged in the most ugly campaign in history. Anywhere (including Somalia).
I don't know where you're getting some of these folks.

You've got someone like Steve Grossman joined at the hip to Mayor Pete. I know some of the DNC types who are really worried about Biden's past swoons. Major pollsters generally laugh about relying on broad based polling this early. Dem Operatives are all over the map, as they usually are in a campaign with a lot of talented candidates.

He's about as likely to be big like that as the Elgin is to declare wednesdays vegan t-totaller day.

Pete's cranking cash, but floundering. But I do agree it's too early.

I know someone real close to Pete and I'm wondering whether it'd be rude or too direct to send my thoughts on how he ought to relax bankruptcy rules for millennial student loan borrowers. Pete's a moderate, so that'd be right up his alley, as it's far more realistic than forgiveness. (Also not as effective, but then, politics is the art of the possible, no?)

He'll grudgingly do so at the last second. Liz is close to him in terms of policy. Hillary was not.

It has nothing to do with policy and everything to do with his fucking ego.

(psst. Bernie really doesn't care about policy.)

For years at certain time I have sometimes ordered a vegetable burger with actual cheese and actual bacon. The upside of it is that the bloat/stuffed feeling that sometimes comes with a meat burger is not felt. The downside is that it ain't a burger in taste or texture. I generally have only ordered them when otherwise feeling like I've been eating to heavy.

Impossible Burger tastes like meat and has that texture! But it also left me as bloated as if I'd eaten a real burger- so what is the point of eating them?

Good question. I thought it might be environmental (lowering of methane output from cows), but someone told me that they're just as bad for the environment. So, I guess just not killing animals for food?

I had one at a place in Cali awhile back. It was excellent. We were supposed to get the at The Elgin, but Burger King fucked up the market for everyone. Still haven't tried the Beyond Burger we carry. The alternatives are too good.

Can't speak to the bloat.

I donno. Maybe, uh... you don’t want to eat dead animals?

Protein should be the last thing to bloat you. Vegetables and fruit, and beans in particular, cause bloat.

You’ve gone through menopause, Hank, correct?

It's the salt. They pack all burgers full of salt now. Shake Shack is delicious, but each burger must exceed the recommended daily allowance.

Not real menopause, but I had my uterus removed because of a cyst.

PS knowing some of the FBs on Facebook I now realize how fucked up many are. I'd actually say Paigs is about in the middle of the pack sanity/dateability wise.

Castro

I’m inclined to give him benefit of the doubt on the comment about Biden forgetting something from 2 minutes ago. Debates are heated, and the media could be taking that comment out of context.

But he’s still dead. He came off as a mix of angry, desperate dick/Tracey Flick last nite. Highly unlikeable, hothead.

ETA: And it certainly didn’t help him that Biden was right and he was the one with the poor memory.

This kind of objectification is why I’ve stuck with Xanga.
