Yes, the snake-oil salespeople now have a lot of money and need to do something with it. That is going to keep a lot of us busy for a while.
The key is to make sure you end up either with the cash or in control when the dust settles, because most of the folks putting these together know a lot more about how to separate people from their money than how to run a company.

It's crazy, but then I spent far more time than I would have preferred in Fort Wayne, IN doing an "independent" investigation on behalf of the board of a too-hastily cobbled together and taken public company a long time ago. Hard to believe that isn't in the cards for a good number of these SPAC. A lot of private companies just do not have the controls they need to suddenly become public.
