funny story- about a year before the Tunisia thing we go to a Tunisian food dinner at an Ann Arbor deli/hippy hangout/over priced gourmet place. And they had film of their travels. The story was they found great producers for several categories of food all across the country, and, what a coincidence, the families of all the producers/land owners were related!

I haven't gone back to see if they've taken all the products off the shelves, but it's pretty funny in retrospect.

Yes -- but once the initial burn is done, which is pretty short, the missile decelerates with gravity, reaches the top of its arc, then accelerates down with gravity.

Maybe they nailed the Scud right after lift-off, during the initial burn. I didn't consider that, but I doubt it. That would be awfully lucky -- a plane would have had to be right nearby when it launched. I was assuming that, if this happened, it was launch spotted on radar and then a plane sent out.
