But if the bank had not yet foreclosed on the car, and it did explode on impact, Hank wouldn't blame anyone but himself.

Yes, I agree that it is virtually impossible for there to be no one around. But Hank keeps asking what happens if there is absolutely no one.
And I think that the answer is that, thru the courts, the state of incorporation appoints a receiver of some sort for the disappeared entity to complete the actions necessary to actually wind-up all of the operations of the abandoned/wound-down entity. Unless I'm mistaken (and this really is a law school type issue, mostly) most state corporate law provides for such action in connection with a wind-down.

my last mortgage was written by a place that was stand alone and shifty as fuck all. It ain't there now and I bet you'd be hard pressed to find anyone willing to sign for it.

at family reunions do you ever get the sense that your mom and her brother are preternaturally close?

hold on. dominoes toppling mean more unemployed means more people you and I have to pay for HC coverage on- and if they're sloppy on paperwork do you think they were careful with birth control? I don't- lots of opps babies I am sure.
no. I don't want any big companies toppling until nancy pelosi loses her private jet and the real american heroes cut this HC boondoggle apart.

Three days ago I posted on FB the funniest thing on the Internet five days in either direction -- the thing about the twin astronauts (one with facial hair). Did I even get the courtesy of a "Like" or an LOL? No. In the face of that experience, the idea that you took a small measure of self-satisfaction from posting the above is positively galling.

FB mean fashion, or the other, because I have a whole pruning process to not post stuff to you on the other- it's because I'm mature.

IRL I am actually closer to this FB persona than my other FB persona. Unfortunately my elderly mother is on my FB and in order to secure my inheritance I need to present a more polished image over there. [sigh]

Closed by the State Division of Banking with the FDIC appointed as the receiver.
