Your comparison is, of course, utter bullshit. But, more importantly, it's irrelevant.

Did I mention candidates? No. I did not. I was focusing on another point in the post to which I was responding.
On the issue you raise here, I agree with you. The GOP has offered more embarrassing candidates, and there is no equivalent trend on the Democratic side. It is is testament to the Democratic Party's intelligence that, while the GOP allows the John Birch Society to take its wheel, the Democrats are wise enough to repackage themselves in the image of moderate Republicans. Worked well for Clinton.

Maybe you missed it, but earlier this month Germany just finished paying its reparations from World War I, 92 years after the Treaty of Versaille. Germany was taken over by Nazis, invaded and partioned into two countries, and reunited, none of which made its debts go away.
And if you're thinking that Democrats are on course to kill this country, you're really saying more about your own febrile imagination and fears than you are about the budget. All the bond traders say you're wrong, and they're betting a lot of money on it.

I don't mind if he calls either the Kos readership or the Fox viewership dumb as long as he concedes that the Republican party's elected officials are idiots.
Trying to defend either Kossacks or the Foxified is a fools errand. The real point is, we've got to be careful about those Republican candidates.
The second point is that there are a handful of Kossacks but a ton of people watching Fox. That, of course, is why Republican candidates are dumber.

This is too stupid for you to have authored. But I'll grant you points for attempting to spin the analogy back on me. You kept it within the parameters of a comparison to "business," and it's my fault for leaving you the opening to do so.

1. I responded to what he wrote.
2. Don't you have a futon and some end tables to pack?

Worse, I actually have work to do. But for some reason I'm tired and I don't feel like doing it.

Nope. But I think you're both refusing to address my point, which I don't really feel like repeating.

Kos was but an example of the parts of a much broader cloth. The legions of dumb fucks who voted for Obama go on forever. Democrats mine entitlement-minded voters, and most of these people are, by definition, as dumb as their tea party brethren.
It's two classes of greedy, uninformed, uneducated tribal jackasses getting behind their horses.
But you are correct, the jackasses voting for Obama at least elected a statesman who deserves the respect even of people who bitterly disagree with him. The Right Wing is running individuals with no business making any speech but one about how Special Olympics made them realize they could be winners too.

I'd do exactly that if I were running a doomed entity like the US as a business. Mine out all the draws and salary one can until the revenue's dry, then dissolve it or take it in the tank.
Becuase you know... the Treasury didn't get any personal guarantee.

This could be some of the dumbest shit you've ever written.

Both parties attract stupid people because there are lots of stupid people in the world, yes. But if you think the Tea Party's followers aren't among the stupidest people on the face of the Earth, I have no use for you. The simple fact that their candidates are almost all brain dead morons is enough evidence. But I really don't want to waste my time discussing this with you. Based on every single argument you've ever made when it comes to politics, taxes (interchangeable for you, I know), class, race or anything not related to tits and ass (the two things on which we mostly agree), you're not capable of convincing me your take on anything is mostly correct. Sorry.

Small little fly in your ointment: tea baggers, in large numbers anyway, are also entitlement minded voters.
