Q5 if no third row needed. Q7 if needed.
I had an MDX and it was a nice reliable car. Not particularly exciting, but fine. The 3rd row was nice when the kids were little, but no one over 5 ft fits back there, so it has to be an elementary student who is past the booster seat days. The cargo space was nice for car trips, but more than generally needed day-to-day.

Re the Q5 and Q7. I looked at both of those before getting my current car (X3). The Q5 felt narrow. The Q7 was better in that regard, but the 3rd row was tiny.

I like my X3, but the back seat doesn't really fit 3 across (my 10 year old is pinched if she's in the middle). The cargo space is ok for a moderate Costco trip, but lacking for a ski trip.
