and why'd Favre throw so many picks? At least the other team's dbs could hold on to the balls.

Entourage on the Macintosh is an abortion. It fucked up my computer so thoroughly that I had to reformat the hard drive and reinstall everything because it kept causing crashes. Mail.app is good to use once you get used to it. Don't get sucked into using entourage.

What about web browsers? Safari or Firefox? I've been using Firefox on my PC.

entourage doesn't fuck up anything. OTOH, I don't use it too much as I compulsively check email other ways.

You should have safari and firefox, as each does some things better.

finally, ignore me, ignore j muggs, ignore any other sock that opines who isn't burger.

As hank says, Firefox for Mac is pretty good. I find Safari faster, but Firefox sometimes works with sites that Safari doesn't (although there are fewer and fewer). On the other hand, FF seems to have all sorts of security protections built in that are hard to turn off but sometimes funk up sites. Since I've been using Safari for a long time, I prefer it, but you really can't go wrong either way. Also, FF has a bookmarks sync add-in that allows you to sync your home and work bookmarks automatically.

As for Entourage, I've never had problems with it. I find it to be pretty good.

Ad and popup blocking? I'd forgotten how annoying ads are.

Safari has popup blocking as does FF. FF seems to allow more configuration of adblocking through the use of ad-ons. The problem I've had on the PC side is that the ad blocking sometimes blocks other stuff, which makes the webpage hard to deal with.

Safari is "cleaner" and easier to use. FF is more configurable. If you like FF and all the ad-ons, go with it. If you want a simple, excellent browser, go Safari.

Ironically, I went bowling on Saturday today. Trounced the competition in two successive games. Smack. down.

Situation 1. X + Entourage = constant crashes and nonfunctionality
Situation 2. X = dreamy apple goodness.

You decide

I prefer firefox for its modifiabilityness

Which version of entourage, and Intel or non-Intel?

Weird that. Not the trouncing, though. That's expected. Par for the corner office. Speaking of bowling, I think that it is one of the great axioms of popular music that covering Pink Floyd is an endeavour fraught with peril. Are things actually ever fraught with anything other than peril? Why does peril have such an overwhelming majority share of the fraughting that is occurring? Anyhoo, I digress. Pink Floyd. Covers. Trouble. And especially the notion of a cover of Comfortably Numb. On paper, it is a train wreck. Or, for angry west coast monkeys, an abortion. Except Flinty. Flinty would not say something is an "abortion." Unless it were an abortion, non-metaphorically speaking, of course. And even then, he would try to come up with some more polite way of saying it. Like he would call it a "procedure" or something. But not Muggs. He has a computer problem? It's an abortion. His car has a flat tire? It's an abortion. His secretary uses too much teeth? Abortion. Anyhoo, despite everything written here so far, the Bad Plus do a cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb that was fantastic live. With vocals, even. I will be purchasing their upcoming CD on the strength of this tune alone. You people should go see the Bad Plus because it is jazz and will make you classy, but they do covers of Pink Floyd and the Pixies and a mean cover of Iron Man and you will like that, because you will laugh while secretly really enjoying it because you love the song Iron Man.

The acoustic act I was in during law school did a reggae version of Comfortably Numb that always went over well.
