I think they all deserve credit for avoiding this:

And while I'm at it, enough with the blue and red tie shit. I'm fucking sick of seeing them wear those same small pattern or solid power ties. If Obama wants to break the mold a bit, he ought to start wearing the occasional striped or patterned shirt, and ties of all different colors. And his shirts should have proper collars. The American notion that one must look like a fucking guidance counselor to be "statesmanlike," with the $19.99-at-Wal Mart point collars they're wearing in this photo, is childish. Stupid nod to bureaucrat culture, if you ask me. And as to suits, Bush has worn Oxxford suits for the last eight years, which are damn nice, but he gets them cut to drape like he's box with legs. Makes him look like a kid going on his first job interviews. I hope Obama changes this. He's skinny enough to have his clothes properly tailored.

The point collar needs to go. Sartorial mortal sin.

I was thinking, one really cool thing is that it sounds like the fringster has recovered enough that she should have been able to appreciate and enjoy the inaugeration. Obama has to get my teeth straightened , but also, lets work on getting Fringey back here.

I am very sorry for your loss. How are the kids taking it?
 | Thanks. This is the first time and much harder than I expected. After a full day its amazing to come to the realisation, based on the increased level of quiet, that he demanded to be and was the absolute center of attention in the household.

the kids are a mixed bag correlating with age. the oldest is really broken up, the middle goes from emotional to completely the normal, and the youngest is consistently a goofball.

 | We've debated it before, but still you haven't learned. A spread collar looks good on a few men. With most, it makes the tie look like the string on a balloon. Maybe you don't look like a balloon head. That doesn't mean the look is right for everyone.

It's like shaving your head as a way of "hiding" the fact you're bald. Michael Jordan pulls it off. Thurgreed pulls it off. Michael Chiklis looks like his skull was clumsily carved from a block of limestone. Can you imagine him in a spread collar? He'd look like a lumpy stone balloon.

also, at the risk of being hurtful, and I apologize if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Penske had a dog. I think he is just trying to curry favor, and get back in people's good graces.
