Macbook air is only suitable for someone who travels extensively. Plus, now that the new macbooks have a built-in 7 hour battery, most travelers would easily add the pound for three hours of battery life.

iPhone is fun!

I took a picture of myself in the mirror and posted it up on Facebook. Standing, not walking.

pondering taking pictures of scars. Thoughts? How do I get rid of them? They are all not open wounds now but have progressed to scar status. Mostly medical care-related ones.

Buy some mederma at Walgreen's. It won't completely get rid of them, but it will help reduce puffiness and coloration. Or just wait and have patience. I have found that some combination of these two things has helped me in dealing with the rather large scar on my shoulder.

2. the picture is amazing. Fringey, you're living this second by second so you might not see it, but you improve a ton every week. it is so great that you are to the point of seeing the day when even the scars fade.

Yeah, I don't see it. I am soooo not looking forward to interviewing or whatever. The scars on my throat and torso do seem to have a feel, though they aren't puffy but seem recessed. I will put Mederma on a list for someone.

If the Mederma doesn't work, I understand that there are laser and injectible (collagen, I think) treatments that can help, but I would give the Mederma a try 1st. Be very diligent about keeping sunscreen on the scars, though, in the meantime. Apparently, that makes a huge difference in how long they stick around.

I know that I'm very late to the party on this, but I'll weigh in anyway. I have not tried the scar fading medicine; I've just relied on time. You'll find that with time, many surgical scars will fade very considerably in color and the raised bumpiness will flatten out. A dark red and raised scar now will fade to almost flesh tone and be nearly flat after 5 years or so.

That's all well and good, but I think the point is that Fringey doesn't want to wait 5 years for them to fade.

I'm sure not. But I'm also saying that what now looks like it will never go away will fade a dramatic amount over time.

Everyone digs scars.

More visible here:

My sister has a scar on her face that gets a lot of positive comments. Scars can be distinctive. If you wear them with confidence.

Only one of mine has any chance at being distinctive and it's on my ankle. The others are in obvious places for tubes.
