I need some advice.
I may have mentioned this, but I've been frequenting a restaurant with a hostess who looks like Padma's younger sister. Just the spitting image.
I've been thinking of complimenting her hair. What do you think?

That's my stance. Ok, fine, go for it. But that call was ridiculous under those circumstances.
I will say that Belichick was right to not have much faith in his defence to do much to stop the Colts.

I think you punt unless you're in field goal range.

Say you're at the 35. Long FG versus punt versus go. Go is clearly right. Punt is out, since it probably nets only 15-25 yards. Long FG has same or reduced chance of sealing the win, but runs risk of being blocked or missed, with 7-yard debit on field position. Plus, the FG gives the Colts the ball back, with an opportunity to score and then onside kick, hence M J-D taking a knee.

Every day for three months after you left, the first hour of posts of the day was devoted to a discussion of your reasons for leaving and the deconstruction and documentation of those reasons. I compiled all of those posts into a manuscript, which I read, in its entirety, each night before I go to sleep.

corner punt can put the ball inside the 5. that crimps Indy's offense, at least for several plays.

the prevailing theories were that he found us lacking because we were ignorant of Canadian things, or Hollywood things, math one sock felt might be the problem. several of us signed up for community college, adult ed, everything trying to patch those gaps.
someone should find out the truth, because I'm about to pay tuition for Musicals of the 40s at Open university.

And I thought he was kind of squicked out at what you considered vanilla and disappointed at what E/O didn't.

There's one punter who does that any more, and he plays for the Giants. Everyone else punts it high with backspin and hopes to down it inside the 10.
I don't think it crimps it Indy--a safety is irrelevant.

Fair enough. We can also use the Belechik decision calculator to sort this one out.
In other news, I ended up watching bits of the fantastic Browns/Ravens MNF game last night. Not for anything resembling good football, necessarily, but I think I saw in the vacant and frightened eyes of Brady Quinn and in the restless anger of the Cleveland stands something resembling Abject Failure as Performance Art.

irrelevant? you get that if they get sacked the game is over, right? it's not just a longer down.

You know, if you had serious responsibilities within the Sting Fan Club, you, too, might have little time for this board.

That is because you have no balls. You embrace predictability and lust for the path of least resistance. You have been thinking inside the box for so long, you are no longer aware there even is a box. You do as you are told and draw within the lines. You aim to please, but not to excite. And even to the extent there are, buried deep within you, urges to do something different, something dangeous, your drown those nascent urges each evening with a bottle of whatever is handy. Melt Banana are rebels. You are just a guy who bought a CD.
