I don't like Boris Johnson, but I don't see how Brits could expect him to back Kim Darroch. Through no fault of his own, Darroch could no longer do his job in DC. He had to go. As with so much of Brexit, the story here is of British politicians harming the country for their own advancement (something Boris Johnson is no stranger to).
