Yay! Money to throw into the cauldron of "Sustaining Operations" w/o hourly or consulting revenue for the next two months.

Banks and insurers won't even allow their people in the same room with others until April 30.

Depending upon jurisdiction, contamination of the business property. Say, a hotel or airline that loses BI due to increased cleaning of contaminated rooms and planes. The "physical damage" being the deposit of coronavirus on BPP. That, of course, may invoke pollution exclusions. But, if coverage is triggered, the burden of proof will move to the insurer, and extensions of coverage, such as "civil authority" will come into play.

Edit: At least two DJs have already been filed - by a Louisiana restaurant, and two Oklahoma tribes (casino loss).

I think this is about the La. one.

Enjoy it. Without courts and juries, that train has slowed to a halt.

Sometimes it's better to be a renter than an owner

I think that's why it settled out of the blue. Get as much of the low hanging fruit as you can before that halt occurs.

Case report I know, but I have a friend whose 95 year old neighbor was given the cocktail, resolved in a day and then sent home to be with her 100 year old husband.

Sorry, I call BS. There is no cure for the virus. What they are doing in the hospitals is trying to alleviate the damage it does to you. You don't send someone infected that recently to be with someone that vulnerable. Or maybe someone else does, but....

If the cocktail tamps down symptoms, we must use it as much as possible. Nothing's curing this for 12-18 months, but whatever keeps ventilators open for people whose symptoms are severe is desperately needed and should be used.

The virus doesn't kill anyone. The symptoms the virus causes kill people.

I don't see a cocktail mentioned. What is in it?

So the new cocktail that stops the lung damage caused by this virus but not the lung damage done by other respiratory diseases? That doesn't seem likely. I'm all in favor of effective treatments, but I've got to say that the stories that I'm hearing about this cocktail don't fit with the stories I hear from my spouse when she returns from the teaching hospital where she cares for people who can't breathe for themselves. Obviously, I sure hope it works.

But if it treats the symptoms, it's not getting rid of the virus in the patient's body, and that means that exposing the patient to vulnerable people is crazy.

The virus absolutely kills people. It kills people by damaging their lungs and sometimes their heart.

Gin originally was a medicine used to treat, among other things, the plague. So one could always try gin again.

I get what you're saying, but I'd bet against the insureds. First, you would have to establish that your plane/hotel had coronavirus on it, and then what would your POR be? The day it took to clean the plane?
