If luxuries are easy to carry, I don't have a problem bringing them with me into nature.  I'm more likely to take better food with me hiking into a lovely glen in the redwoods than I am would bring for an every day lunch at work.

I have been very happy to see the civilized backwoods lodge make a comeback in recent years.  I especially like the fly-in places in the North Woods. |
